South African Working paper on a New Intersessional Process

17th October 2011

In a Working Paper for the Seventh Review Conference, South Africa presented a proposal for a new Intersessional process which includes “Open-ended Committees” established for, inter alia, the “consideration of new scientific developments”. The paper suggests that these Committees could be supported by a Chairperson, two deputies from different regional groups, as well as a member of the ISU, and would “report to the MSP that would meet at the end of the year”.
