Conference of the States Parties (CSP) to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).

Kai ilchmann attended the Fifteenth Session of the Conference of the States Parties (CSP). The Conference was held from the 29 November to 3 December 2010 in The Hague. In a statement to the Conference, on behalf of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon reiterated the purpose of the work done by the States Parties as “establishing a strong foundation for ensuring that chemistry is used exclusively for the benefit of humankind”. The Report of the OPCW on the Implementation of the Convention in 2009, noted the thirteenth and fourteenth session of the OPCW’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) which discussed aspects of nano-materials of relevance to the convention.
