“Trends in Synthetic Biology Research Funding in the United States and Europe”

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholar project on Synthetic Biology Project has produced a report on synthetic biology which outlines the current state of play. The reports suggest that “since 2005, the U.S. government has spent approximately $430 million on research related to synthetic biology” and proceeds to outline differences in research funding and project activity between Europe and the US.
